In addition to what Kyle says, the amino acids are supplied to the cell from the proein we eat, via the blood stream. They diffuse into the cells from the blood serum and are just hanging around, awaiting a tRNA molecule to hook up with. The only purpose for tRNA (as far as we know) is to transport an amino acid to a ribosome for inclusion in a new protein. mRNA supplies a pattern which is freed at the end of the process to be reused repeatedly.
