Genetic Reconstruction DNA Test

March 22nd, 2008 | Filed under: DNA Testing Services

Genetic reconstruction is a complicated series of DNA tests that can often be performed when an alleged father is unavailable for paternity testing and other genetic tests, such as grandparent DNA testing, have been eliminated as possible testing options to indirectly determine who the father of a child is.

By comparing a child’s DNA profile to those of several known relatives of the alleged father, genetic reconstruction DNA testing can determine whether the child is biologically related to the alleged father’s family members. The tested parties, in turn, can interpret the test results as an indirect indication of whether or not the child is biologically related to the unavailable alleged father.
